External Chatbot Setup Guide

The External Chatbot extension lets you create branded AI chat widgets for client websites, collect leads, answer visitor questions, and allow human agents to join conversations.

Setup steps

  1. Create a chatbot from the Chatbots page.
  2. Customize brand colors, welcome text, logo, avatar, suggested prompts, and GDPR text.
  3. Add training sources such as FAQs, website copy, business profile information, products, services, and custom instructions.
  4. Open the Embed page and copy the script into the client website.
  5. Use the Inbox to manage human handoff, replies, notes, tags, and exports.
